Select Key System

Keyed Different (KD)
Each lock operates with its own unique key, ensuring that no two locks share the same key. This is the most secure option for individual lockout situations where each worker requires exclusive control over their padlock.
Keyed Alike (KA)
Multiple locks are operated by the same key, allowing one key to open all locks in the set. Ideal for group lockout scenarios where a supervisor or maintenance team needs quick access to multiple lockout points.
Master Keyed (MK)
A master key opens multiple locks keyed differently, allowing supervisors to remove locks in emergencies. To ensure exclusive control, master keys should be securely stored and accessible only to management.
Grand Master Keyed (GMK)
A Grand Master Key sits at the highest level of access and opens all padlocks, including:
- Groups of Keyed-Different Padlocks
- Groups of Keyed-Different Padlocks with a Master Key
- Groups of Keyed-Alike Padlocks
- Groups of Keyed-Alike Padlocks with a Master Key
- Mixed Groups of Keyed-Alike, Keyed-Different, and Master-Keyed Padlocks
